Wacky Wine Weekend Blog
OK, so I have been told a couple of times to start a blog for the Robertson Wine Valley. But I'm no writer and what if I run out of things to say, words that convey what my Afrikaans mind is thinking in a sensible way? So I am as nervous as can be about this foreign thing called a blog that I am about to start. But not only nervous - also VERY excited! We have just had a fabulous Wacky Wine Weekend, the weather kept brilliant right till the end when the skies opened up and the rain started to pour down - ending a weekend of fun, laughter and fab wine. And thus I would like to invite you to let us in on your Wacky Wine Weekend experiences. Was it fun, will you be back - we want to know it all!

Brilliant weekend although some of them were not ready on Friday 1st.
Seems that they did not care if there were people visiting ex:
Springfield - We felt unwelcome and the ladies were unprepared
De Wet - No stock and unwilling to assist
Bonnievale Cellar - far from ready
Hi All
My 1st WWW!! Was awesome seeing all the different people frm different walks of life who have attended & also all the different layouts that the farms had. A GREAT 'PitStop' was Bon Courage on Saturday. Very Spontaneous!!
A suggestion is to have a look @ were food is available frm late afternoon on different farms, because having a 'wanna be' Boerewors roll was not my idea of something easy
& convenient. They were cold & borring. Maybe if they had some warm Tamatoe & Onion Smoor to spice it up with it could have been better. Maybe get some of the farms to commit for the weekend on 2 or 3 meals/dishes & put that in your programme on what & when it will be available.

Baie lekker naweek - dink dis die beste ding wat die area kon tref - hou van die tipe mens wat soontoe kom - lekker atmosfeer, veral musiek - ek voel ook dat kos baie belangrik is en soos die piekniek wat eie is aan Viljoensdrift behoort ander kelders iets uniek voor te sit wat my sal laat terugkom na daai spesifieke kelder. Kelders moet uithaal en die besoeker bederf al kos dit - dis mos goedkoop advertensie! Skep n wen-wen situasie.
